A beautiful Scarlet Mormon butterfly in a handmade wooden frame mounted on high-quality 300gsm white textured card stock which includes both the scientific and common name of the insect below. 
The Scarlet Mormon is found in the Philippines but has been recorded as a vagrant to southern Taiwan. The males have large red patches on the ventral side (underside) of the wings. In contrast, the female has distinct red markings on both sides of the wings. Wingspan ranges between 12-14cm.
This butterfly is the reverse way up, meaning the underside is showing. We also offer it the standard way up.
