A interesting Banded Jewel Beetle in a handmade wooden frame mounted on high-quality 300gsm white textured card stock which includes both the scientific and common name of the insect below.

 

The Banded Jewel Beetle is a Southeast Asian species of beetle in the Buprestidae family and tribe Chrysochroini. It is found for example in Borneo and Malaysia. It can reach a length of 40-47mm. They are known as Jewel beetles because of their glossy and iridescent colours.

 

Taxonomic: Chrysochroa buqueti

Common Name: Banded Jewel Beetle

 

Frame: Available in black, white or grey. The frame can either be stood up or wall mounted using the invisible bracket.

 

Corner Decals: Vintage bronze metal corners which are nailed on by hand on all four corners.

 

Sizing: 20cm x 20cm (Aperture 17cm x 17cm)
