GSPR EU/NI UPDATE

As of 13th December a new regulation comes into effect for selling to countries with in EU. As the United Kingdom is not in the EU, any businesses who do not have an office within an EU state will be required to pay for an ongoing EU Representative. The cost of this is currently unknown but is likely not possible for the vast majority of small businesses. This is on top of various documentation that must be prepared and supplied with all products from this date.

 

Therefore we have had to make the difficult decision to temporarily halt EU and Northern Ireland posting until there is more transparency from the EU on what is required, as well as meeting all requirements. We fully support the need for only safe products on the market but feel this legislation has not throughly been thought through.

We sincerely hope that this will not be a permanent change and that all small businesses can find a viable, affordable solution going forward.
